About ShippoLab

ShippoLab is a Kyoto-based laboratory exploring Japanese cloisonné (七宝焼) through contemporary, sensorial practice. We unite artisans, designers, and cultural researchers to reimagine enamel linework for a global audience while honoring the rituals that shaped the craft across centuries.

Our Ethos

ShippoLab bridges heritage craft with forward-looking experiences. Each enamel panel, vessel, and installation emerges from mindful collaboration, research-driven experimentation, and respect for ecological rhythm. We view cloisonné as a living language that transmits memory through glow, color, and touch.
